Authorship Agreement

Authorship on a scientific publication and/or creative activity is both a reward and a responsibility.  To avoid conflicts on who should and will be included as an author on such works within a given scholarly lab or group, the following written agreement should govern.  For specific rules and recommendations regarding who (in general) qualifies for authorship, please refer to the publication outlet itself, or the MSU Authorship Guidelines.

• Overall Project Name
• Type of project (e.g., grant application, dissertation, thesis, ongoing study, etc.)
• Principal Investigator
• Co-Investigators and Roles
• Publication Outlet(s)
• Author List (and order)
